The Sacramento Host Committee and California Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 90th Annual Sacramento Host Reception on May 27 at the Sutter Club and Breakfast on May 28 at the Sacramento Convention Center at Sutter Club.

The 5th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes benefiting WEAVE was a record-breaking effort, exceeding the organization’s #1000MenStrong goal.

Shelter from the Storm Breakfast was held on April 30 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento. It is an annual fundraiser for Volunteers of America which was founded in 1896. The event raised money for housing and employment services to the most vulnerable in our community.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Greater Sacramento Area Chapter held a record breaking Students of the Year campaign this year with over $131,000 raised and two pairs of students that won the Top Fundraiser Recognition Awards! The event was held on May 9 at Niello Mini, Sacramento.

I know how to do Sacramento weekends right — it’s sort of a point of pride. 

Hosted by Region Builders and Citrus Heights Mayor Sue Frost, the Regional Leadership Council event highlighted leaders from the 6-county region and topics of economic importance.

The 19th Annual Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure was held on May 9 at Cal Expo. Thousands gathered to celebrate our community’s breast cancer survivors and pay tribute to those that lost their battles – raising funds and awareness and bringing us one step closer to a cure.

Mayor Cabaldon’s State of the City Address, presented by the West Sacramento Chamber, was held on May 5 at the West Sacramento City Hall Galleria. Mayor Cabaldon discussed a series of innovative partnerships that are paving the way for continued progress in the city. 

CFMA Sacramento hosted their fourth annual Construction Executive of the Year Awards on April 30, 2015, at Arden Hills Resort & Spa. With approximately 170 guests in attendance, finalists were recognized in the Construction Business Executive, Construction Financial Executive and Associate Member of the year.

The 27th Annual Wine and Food Fest was held at the Sacramento Convention Center on April 25. The festival invited guests to taste unlimited samples of wine and food from over 120 vendors, with proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada chapter.
