Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern California held a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the 20-bedroom expansion of the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House on July 18.
The new expansion will be able to house 20 additional families a night who have a child with a serious illness or injury being treated at any Sacramento-area hospital. Previously, the House was serving 18 families a night but was turning away two families for every family served due to a lack of space. With the addition, the House will be able to serve 1,500 children and families a year.
