Comstock’s is a Sacramento-based magazine that has long been the premier monthly business publication for California’s Capital Region. Serving Sacramento and the nine surrounding counties for over 35 years, Comstock’s is the voice for business and quality of life in our region.
Intriguing, insightful and inquisitive journalism has long been a hallmark of Comstock’s. Both online and in print, we take an analytical look at the movers, shakers and forces shaping our economic landscape of today and tomorrow.
Comstock’s has won many awards for excellence but most recently was honored with five first-place awards for writing, photography, design and general excellence at the 2024 California News Publishers Association (CNPA) Journalism Awards, competing with major news publications throughout the state (newspapers, magazines and periodicals). Wins included first place in the categories of Agricultural Reporting, Featured Photo, Print Front Page Layout & Design, Sports Featured Story and Tourism/Travel Writing/Reporting. Altogether we received a total of 10 “Top 3” finishes in a range of categories.
Comstock’s has also been named the Best Business & Finance Consumer Magazine in the Western U.S. three times by the Western Publishing Association. In addition to receiving the “MAGGIE” Award for Best Business Magazine, Comstock’s also has received the “MAGGIE” for Best Web Publication/Consumer.

Comstock’s magazine is committed to accurate, fair and transparent journalism. Writers and editors are expected to verify facts, quotations, names, statistics and other material information before publication and to clearly attribute information to reliable sources. We strive to provide appropriate context, disclose relevant conflicts of interest and clearly distinguish independent editorial content from advertising or sponsored content.
Comstock’s promptly corrects substantive errors. For digital stories, incorrect information will be updated and, when appropriate, accompanied by a correction or editor’s note explaining the change. Minor typographical or formatting errors may be corrected without notice. Substantive errors in print may be addressed in a subsequent issue and corrected in the online version.
Readers who believe we have published inaccurate information are encouraged to contact our editorial staff. We will review correction requests and make changes when warranted.
