The theme of AIA Central Valley’s Architectura Obscura open photography competition this year focused on the inspiration that can be found when “looking up” to see and understand architecture. 

All photos submissions are on display in the AIACV Gallery through December 2015.

Region Business BBQ in the Vineyards

Over seven hundred people attended the BBQ in the Vineyards event, the signature annual event of Region Business. Hosted by their Political Action Committee, the BBQ at the Sugarmill in Clarksburg, was an evening with elected officials from throughout the region, hundreds of leaders from the building industry, wine, beer, food, cigar bar, and a silent auction.

A Heart for the City Jessup Gala

Nearly 400 guests joined William Jessup University for their annual Jessup Gala at Sacramento’s Hyatt on October 4. This year’s event entitled “A Heart for the City” honored four alumni excelling in their respective fields of business, education, public policy and nonprofit organizations in various cities across the nation.
