The San Juan Education Foundation held An Evening with the STARS October 16 at Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa to celebrate excellence in education and support our schools.

The 18th Annual Outstanding Women Leader (OWL) Awards were held on October 15 at the Double Tree Hotel in Sacramento.

Over seven hundred people attended the BBQ in the Vineyards event, the signature annual event of Region Business. Hosted by their Political Action Committee, the BBQ at the Sugarmill in Clarksburg, was an evening with elected officials from throughout the region, hundreds of leaders from the building industry, wine, beer, food, cigar bar, and a silent auction.

Nearly 400 guests joined William Jessup University for their annual Jessup Gala at Sacramento’s Hyatt on October 4. This year’s event entitled “A Heart for the City” honored four alumni excelling in their respective fields of business, education, public policy and nonprofit organizations in various cities across the nation.

On September 17, 2015 at the Cal Expo ClubHouse, the Building Owners Managers Association of Sacramento honored Mr. Darrell Steinberg, a dedicated servant to Sacramento and California for many years.

The 18th annual Sacramento Reptile Show on Sept. 26 and 27 brought snakes, lizards, turtles and other “non-fuzzy” cuddly critters to the Sacramento Convention Center.

Hundreds of people lined the streets in Downtown Sacramento on September 11 to honor three men — Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone — during the Sacramento Hometown Heroes Parade. The three men are hailed as heroes for helping stop a terrorist plot on Aug. 21 aboard a Paris-bound train.
