Marcus Crowder

Marcus Crowder is an arts writer based in Northern California. For 17 years he was the theater critic at The Sacramento Bee where he also wrote about jazz, pop and dance. His reviews and interviews include Sting, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, Sonny Rollins, Chita Rivera and Greta Gerwig. His work has appeared in Alta, American Theatre, Diablo Magazine, Sactown, San Francisco Chronicle and 7×7. Onstage he has interviewed Alice Waters, Frank Rich, Lara Downes and Dave Douglas. He graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in English (Writing) and has an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute.

Bob Burns
