Last weekend I survived the She Rocks the Trail 25k trail run. Starting at the Auburn Dam Lookout and with an overall elevation change of 3,500 feet. It was tough to push through in the summer heat, but was well worth knowing that my efforts were benefiting Fit for Girls.
Fit for Girls exists to improve the overall health and well-being of adolescent girls. Within the context of physical fitness training, girls participate in lessons on a variety of topics such as nutrition, time management and friendships. With this information and support, girls learn to make healthy choices, set goals and overcome obstacles while training for a 5k race.
