DELEGATA’S NEW PRESIDENT AMIRA MENOUFY

LEADS THE CHARGE WITH A TEAM OF CRITICAL THINKERS

Back Sponsored Mar 5, 2024

There’s no doubt about it, we are living through a time when technology is continuing to evolve at a rapid pace — where innovation continues to propel us forward.

For the last 24 years, Delegata has acted as the proverbial translator between humanity and technology. The solutions-based management and technology firm based in Sacramento has led the way in partnering with government to implement innovative modernization initiatives that benefit the greater good.

Delegata’s long and successful history of collaboration with the State of California — now the fourth largest economy in the world — is no small feat. It takes a dedicated team of critical thinkers ready and willing to dissect the technological foundations and the complexities of the challenges at hand and, in turn, learn how to strengthen them. Leading the charge of this supergroup is President Amira Menoufy. The warm, charming and visionary leader clearly finds joy even 22 years later in the work she does. Considering the mother of two is also a basketball, soccer, and Girl Scout mom, this is all the more impressive.

“I’ve found that being thoughtful and intentional and driving things forward with purpose makes a difference,” Menoufy says. “Connecting to the why of the work we are doing makes the work more meaningful. My approach is rooted in empathy — understanding where people are coming from and what their needs are so I can make a difference.”

As a woman president in the male-dominated tech industry, Menoufy’s presence is not only a rarity, but also a seeming testament to the kind of leadership approach she takes. She has a unique ability to translate between disparate worlds and help them understand how to work in tandem versus against each other — especially when the fear of technology and the fear of change can make it difficult for people to be willing to adjust.

“When it comes to change, at the end of the day, it’s all about people and how do we work together to drive that next level of progress? How do we modernize the business of government? How can technology partner and deliver on the goals of the state, and how do we as a company drive that forward?” she says.

That statement couldn’t be any more pertinent, as Delegata is currently working on a major undertaking: the Statewide Technology Strategy effort underway with the California Department of Technology, a project that will design how the entire state will accelerate technology-driven progress to benefit all.
