Blanket Marketing Group

A Sacramento-based results driven creative agency

Back Sponsored Jun 15, 2018 By Christina Kiefer

While shopping local, perhaps you noticed the product had a CA Made label; a new program administered by the Governor’s Office to promote the purchase of goods made in the Golden State. If you’re a Seth Curry fan, you may have recently discovered his website that touts his Foundation, which highlights his civic giving and community involvement. Or, if you have a vested interest in local philanthropies, like the Sierra Health Foundation, their bold campaign to reduce health disparities in California may have caught your eye.

What do these three entities have in common? They each employed the very talented Sacramento-based creative agency, Blanket Marketing Group. Michael Broughton, CEO of Blanket Marketing Group, launched the boutique firm in October of 2005. The agency is a one-stop shop for brands and all of their marketing needs. Broughton and his team offer clients branding, social media, web design and development, graphic design, video production and digital strategy services.

Broughton, an entrepreneur and marketing guru, has called Sacramento home for the last 25 years. He has worked hard to create a team that operates more like a family, and a workplace culture that embraces giving back.

“I think what makes our agency unique, is how in tune we are with the Sacramento community,” said Broughton. “I was raised to make an impact and give back, a philosophy I have built my business around. As a team, we are passionate about supporting organizations that help others, and taking an active role in bettering our community and collective future here in Sacramento.”

Since Broughton opened his doors 13 years ago, the marketing industry has rapidly evolved. A massive shift from print to digital has occurred, as well as the tactics marketers utilize to reach their target audience. When asked how the industry has changed, Broughton offered this commentary.

“In the last five years, the marketing industry has changed dramatically. Now, everything is digital. New platforms and technology pop up every day. At Blanket Marketing Group, we specialize in helping brands create a strategy that allows them to use online platforms to their competitive advantage. How brands communicate online is critical, but equally as important is personal branding. Consumers want to know the people: the CEO’s, executives and leaders, behind the brand. Personal branding is so important, and when done right leaves a significant impact.”

With a diverse client portfolio, and deep ties to the Sacramento community, Blanket Marketing Group is poised for significant growth. “We are dedicated to helping our clients build a strong brand in a competitive marketplace, and ultimately succeed,” continued Broughton. “We are committed to staying on top of industry trends so that we can produce the best work product. Truly, we are fortunate to work with great people and call Sacramento home.”

Echoing this sentiment is Chet P. Hewitt, President and CEO of Sierra Health Foundation, who partnered with Broughton and team.  “A breakthrough marketing and communications strategy has been essential to meet our mission of advancing health equity and community well-being,” said Hewitt. “When we needed assistance in developing and implementing these strategies, Blanket Marketing Group has consistently been our high-quality go-to partner.”
