Nehemiah Leaders Programs, formerly the Nehemiah Community Foundation, traces its roots to the Nehemiah Corporation of America, a social enterprise dedicated to increasing homeownership and asset development opportunities for diverse populations across the United States. NCA folded in 2019, leaving behind a legacy through its Community Foundation and its keystone program, the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program (NELP), founded by NCA’s former CEO, Scott Syphax. The Foundation, no longer funded by its corporate parent, evolved into the nonprofit Nehemiah Leaders Programs in 2024.
