Grab a stroller, wheelchair, or pair of walking shoes. The internationally known disability ministry, Joni and Friends, is gearing up for our annual Walk ‘N’ Roll fundraiser in Sacramento on Saturday, October 12th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Southside Park.
Our Joni and Friends Walk ‘N’ Roll & Disability Resource Fair is an opportunity to bring together people living with disabilities, their families, friends, service providers, and community partners to raise awareness and transform the lives of individuals affected by disability.
Southside Park has an accessible playground and there will be additional activities, such as corn-hole, face-painting and food. There will be resource tables providing valuable information about disability related services and supports. We will also be collecting non-powered wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes to support our Wheels for the World™ program. The Disability Resource Fair is open to the public.
Register to participate in the Walk ‘N’ Roll as an individual, pull together a team, or sponsor and raise funds to support local families impacted by disability by walking and rolling with us! Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt, swag bag, and access to all activities, including food.
Joni and Friends hosts respite retreats and other accessible events, collects wheelchair donations to be distributed internationally, and provides disability training to create a world where all people living with disability find hope, dignity and their place in the body of Christ.
Joni and Friends Central California provides families and individuals impacted by disability access to resources and support out of offices in Sacramento and Fresno.
