The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is proud to present the Dale Chilcoat Retrospective, a collection that showcases Chilcoat’s exploration of different media, styles, and processes. The exhibition opens on May 3, 2025, with a First Saturday Public Reception from 4-7 p.m., featuring an artist talk by Chilcoat himself.
Chilcoat, a long-time student of the arts, has had an illustrious career, including working on the renovations of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, studying at the University of Florence in Italy, and being a friend of Frank Lloyd Wright. His collection includes works in paint, sketch, and fused glass.
In addition to the retrospective, the Center will celebrate the annual Big Day of Giving on May 1. Stop by from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to explore local and regional visual arts, enjoy exciting art gifts, and support the mission of the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center.

About the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center
Founded as a nonprofit arts organization on November 29, 2007, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is dedicated to providing a space for local artists to share their work and for the community to experience the visual arts. The Center offers monthly fine art exhibitions, regional art competitions, a gift shop featuring functional art and jewelry, adult workshops, and the annual Elk Grove Festival of the Arts.
The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is located at 9020 Elk Grove Boulevard, Suite 101, Elk Grove. Galleries are open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for First Saturday Public Receptions from 4-7 p.m. We are proud members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Old Town Elk Grove Foundation.
