Tolosa Winery 2009 Edna Valley No-Oak Chardonnay:

The Tolosa No-Oak Chardonnay is a perfect pairing to the seared ahi, brightening the meal’s flavors in a way a heavier white or red wine could not. The 2009 Tolosa offering is fresh and vibrant, characterized by invigorating aromatics and crisp acidity in true Chablis fashion. It is a delightfully versatile wine that compliments a wide variety of foods.

Where to find it:

Land Ocean is located at 2720 East Bidwell Street in Folsom (landoceanrestaurants.com).

What to eat with this wine:

Chef Shennandoah Edwards presents a fusion of French and Pacific Rim style with his sesame seared ahi with lemongrass couscous, Thai peanut sauce, pineapple and balsamic reduction.

Mark Platt is the owner of Land Ocean in Folsom, CA. Land Ocean — or L.O., as it is referred to in Folsom — is the second restaurant created and opened by Mark and Karoline Platt, who own Sienna Restaurant in El Dorado Hills. A new-American-style steakhouse featuring tastes of both surf and turf, and celebrating this month a year in operation, Mark says Land Ocean “is a place for great food with a sophisticated atmosphere for lunch or dinner at a reasonable price.
