Food truck master makes plans for brick-and-mortar restaurant
Last July, we reported on Chef Keith Breedlove — the quirky food truck owner driving authentic brand development in a congested mobile scene with his one-of-a-kind Culinerdy Crüzer (“Crüze Control” by Andy Galloway). Now, Breedlove and his wife and partner Amy have since decided to open an 1,800-square-foot brick-and-mortar restaurant by August 2016.
Anpac Bio-Medical to Set Up U.S. Headquarters in Sacramento
During his final State of the Address, held Jan. 28 at the Crest Theatre, Mayor Kevin Johnson announced that Anpac Bio-Medical Science Company has selected Sacramento as the location for their U.S. headquarters. The cancer screening and treatment company is regarded for their breakthrough early cancer screening, detection and diagnostic technology.

Take a ride in CHP Valley Division Air Operations' GippsAero GA8 Airvan— the only aircraft of its kind currently being used in California.
In Auburn, officers with the California Highway Patrol Valley Division Air Operations run emergency response missions from Butte County to San Joaquin County, a coverage area of 13 counties. “Emergency response is the aircraft’s top priority,” says Sergeant Jeff Watkins, aerial supervisor and pilot for CHP.

As a student, Melanie Haller trained for 12 years at the internationally-recognized Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under world-renowned ballet teacher Marcia Dale Weary. Now, as principal of the School of the Sacramento Ballet, Haller trains the Pre-Professional Division — the school’s three highest levels (ages 10 to 18-and-up).

Minimum Wage: Does More Make Sense?
Several cities in California have now set their own minimum wages. Allen Warren and Jay Schenirer want to raise the hourly minimum wage in Sacramento above the state-mandated $9 and Mayor Kevin Johnson says he supports raising the federal minimum wage but that more research is needed.
