Susan Maxwell Skinner is a New Zealand native, career journalist and previous member of the Buckingham Palace press corps in London. Now married and living local, Skinner is also a professional singer and has spent the past 15 years building a historical and contemporary archive of the Carmichael community. She takes photos and writes about “every little thing happening here.” She is jokingly referred to as “Mrs Carmichael,” and has written several books.
