Talk to any member of the 3fold Communications team and you’ll immediately see the same characteristics. They are hungry for opportunities to learn and support their clients. They are human, working towards a healthy work-life balance. They are humble, eager to support their team and community. These three traits — hungry, human and humble — are 3fold’s core values and it is truly remarkable how their team, mainly young professionals, are the living embodiment of what 3fold stands for.
3fold’s dedication to stacking their team with young professionals has been instrumental in the continued success of the company. “Bringing drive, tenacity and a burning desire to learn” is how Jamie Von Sossan, CEO, puts it. The young professionals at 3fold have been able to execute top-of-the-line campaigns on behalf of their clients, earning the company American Advertising Federation Awards (The Addys), Sacramento Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO in 2021 and the City of Sacramento’s Economic Gardening 2.0 grant in 2021.
“At times we’ve been deemed the ‘anti-agency.’ While there are tenets that are foundational, it is really important for us to look outside of the box without having to recreate the wheel.” — Jamie Von Sossan, Managing Partner, President & CEO
Taylor Toledo, 3fold’s planning director, says, “What I love about working for 3fold is knowing the work that I get to be a part of is really impactful. I spend most of my time strategizing with higher education and workforce development organizations who are trying to solve important problems and it’s rewarding to be in those conversations.”
Kara Fiscus, vice president of operations, Zoom interviewed with every employee prior to joining the team in July 2020 and saw that the team loved working with each other. She says, “3folders are unique in their passion to do right by their community, to bring about justice and to improve access and outcomes. Employees really care and that starts at the top.”
Jeff Ackler, 3fold’s director of agency, shares, “Leadership and my colleagues appreciate me for who I am and for not fitting the mold of what an ‘employee’ should be. We all tend to be entrepreneurial and we have great synergy because we trust one another and can be completely open, which leads to amazing things.”
