PLACER COUNTY

GETTING GROWTH RIGHT IN PLACER COUNTY

Back Sponsored Jun 28, 2024

Placer County is the third-fastest growing county in California. With 35,000 new homes in the pipeline, Sacramento State breaking ground on the future Placer Center, and new businesses like Proctor & Gamble and Bosch moving into the area, it is important that Placer retains its high quality of life as it grows. That’s why an initiative called Get Growth Right is essential to its success.

Newly appointed CEO of Placer County Daniel Chatigny is a long-term resident of the area. One of his first tasks is the Get Growth Right initiative, a program in which Placer examines its staffing needs to better support the booming growth in the region.

“This high growth rate was bound to happen as more businesses and families choose Placer,” Chatigny says. “We’ve got a great quality of life with access to fantastic natural recreation, strong schools and safe communities. It’s important to Get Growth Right so businesses and families continue to choose Placer.”

Chatigny is charged with ensuring staff is focused on the priorities outlined by the Placer County Board of Supervisors: Get Growth Right, wildfire management, workforce housing, homelessness, and innovation and partnerships. Placer’s significant progress on each of these is evidenced by the fast growth within the region.

See for yourself why more businesses and families are choosing Placer.
