New Leadership Guides Environmental Solutions for Clients

ATLAS DISPOSAL

Back Sponsored Dec 29, 2025

Atlas Disposal serves municipal, commercial and industrial clients throughout the Greater Sacramento region, including residential collection services for the City of Rancho Cordova, delivering scalable, efficient and environmentally responsible waste solutions.

A privately owned company, Atlas Disposal provides clients with levels of responsiveness, accountability and community connection that are unmatched by large national providers.

“Our ownership and executive leadership are deeply embedded in the communities we serve and are actively involved in daily decision-making to ensure fast, responsive service for customers, residents and city staff.”— Brian Waters, President and CEO

“Our ownership and executive leadership are deeply embedded in the communities we serve and are actively involved in daily decision-making to ensure fast, responsive service for customers, residents and city staff,” says Brian Waters, president and CEO.

Waters was recently promoted from chief operating officer to president and CEO and now oversees the company’s strategic direction, operations and continued growth. He brings 36 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry, along with deep operational expertise and proven leadership. Prior to joining Atlas Disposal, Waters served as regional vice president for Rumpke Waste & Recycling, overseeing multi-state operations.

Atlas also announced that Terrence McNamara has assumed a new leadership role as general manager for the Northern California Region, where he will oversee regional operations, performance and growth initiatives. McNamara brings more than 20 years of operational leadership experience in heavy-civil construction, including service as a vice president at Teichert. He has strong Sacramento roots and has served as a past chair on several industry and chamber of commerce boards.

“Atlas will continue to build from our strong foundation,” says Waters. “We will focus on expanding within Northern California, Salt Lake City and Phoenix while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service and environmental compliance. At the same time, we will continue developing our leadership team to ensure we have the right people, structure and culture in place to support long-term success for our customers, municipal partners and the communities we serve.”

While Atlas Disposal’s core values of safety, service and environmental responsibility remain unchanged, Waters brings a renewed focus on steward leadership and a Trust & Inspire culture, anchored in disciplined growth, operational excellence and local accountability. Under his leadership, the company is strengthening operational consistency, expanding data-driven decision-making, enhancing environmental compliance and diversion efforts, continuing to invest in its people and safety programs, and pursuing thoughtful, sustainable growth across its municipal, commercial and industrial markets.
