Established by Jacob and Charles Wagner in Stockton in 1856, Pacific Storage Company’s roots date back an incredible 170 years. When this company was founded as a leather tannery, there were no telephones or even light bulbs. The company has grown, adapted and evolved to meet the needs of today’s customers and earn their trust in an ever-changing world.
Still majority owned by the Wagner family, Pacific today provides services including records storage and management, secure document shredding, data and media destruction, and logistics. What began in Stockton has grown into a diversified operation serving customers throughout the Central Valley, greater Sacramento region, and the Sierra Nevada and Reno-Truckee region.
“Our founding principles remain the same: taking responsibility for what our customers entrust to us and taking care of it
as if it were our own.”— Greg Tudor, President & CEO
“Our founding principles remain the same: taking responsibility for what our customers entrust to us and taking care of it as if it were our own,” says Greg Tudor, president and CEO. “More than 5,000 customers place their confidence in us and we safeguard more than 2 million cubic feet of records and securely shred approximately 16 million pounds of paper every year, all of which is recycled.”
Pacific’s responsibility extends beyond protecting information. The company’s sustainable efforts reflect a commitment to responsible stewardship and to the communities and environment we all share.
People are the foundation of Pacific’s success and the company is committed to recognizing the dignity and value of each team member and creating a culture rooted in respect, trust, opportunity and personal growth.
“By investing in our people, we are able to attract and retain quality employees who take pride in the work they do,” notes Tudor. “Ultimately, it is our employees who deliver on our promises every day and continue to strengthen the trust Pacific has earned across generations.”
Looking ahead, Pacific will continue to expand its capabilities, invest in its people and embrace new opportunities.
“We’re proud to say we’ve been here since 1856, but longevity alone doesn’t earn anyone’s business,” concludes Tudor. “We still have to earn our customers’ trust every day. Our job is to keep evolving, keep getting better and make sure we leave this company even stronger for the next generation.”
