Comcast employees
are deeply committed to making a difference in the Greater
Sacramento area. These workers showcase their dedication to
community service with various volunteer efforts that not only
support local organizations, but also foster a sense of unity and
purpose.
Some of the most rewarding projects have occurred over the past
year. For example, last September, employees from Comcast
California’s Employee Resource Groups joined over 1,200
volunteers to remove trash and debris from the American River
Parkway during the Great American River Clean-Up. This annual
event plays a crucial role in conserving and nurturing the
parkway as a unique, accessible resource for everyone to enjoy.

Comcast also made a significant impact through its support of
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento. In October, Comcast
employees participated in the Third Annual Rock the Block event
in West Sacramento. Volunteers assisted in home repairs,
landscape trimming and community improvement projects, enhancing
the quality of life for residents in the Bryte and Broderick
communities. Additionally, members of Comcast’s Women’s Network
Employee Resource Group gathered for Habitat for Humanity’s Women
Build program, where they helped construct homes for families in
South Sacramento.
And finally, Comcast employees packed and delivered over 500 bags
of food at the Yolo County Children’s Alliance (YCCA) site in
West Sacramento in partnership with Yolo Food Bank. This food
distribution happens every Friday at their Family Resource
Center, rain or shine, providing consistent support to community
members.
Comcast’s volunteerism efforts highlight the company’s dedication
to supporting and uplifting local communities. Through events
like the Great American River Clean-Up, Habitat for Humanity
projects and food distribution at YCCA, Comcast employees
actively contribute to making the Greater Sacramento area a
better place to live, work and play.
