CITY OF RANCHO CORDOVA

Back Sponsored Feb 28, 2025

Rancho Cordova, California, is experiencing a period of dynamic change, thanks to the leadership of Mayor Siri Pulipati and Councilmember Linda Budge, along with their three councilmember colleagues. These two women are actively shaping the future of Rancho Cordova through dedication to public service, innovative approaches and a shared vision for a thriving community.

Mayor Pulipati, elected to the city council in 2020 and serving as mayor in 2025, sees herself as a catalyst for positive change. The first woman of color and first South Asian American to serve on the council, Pulipati has focused on attracting tech companies to the region and stimulating job growth and economic development. Her dedication extends to youth STEM programs, empowering young people and opening doors to future opportunities. She prioritizes education, economic advancement and public safety, working to create a sustainable and technologically advanced Rancho Cordova.

Councilmember Linda Budge has been a pillar of the Rancho Cordova community, serving in public office since 1978, as a member of the city council since cityhood in 2003 and as mayor five times. Over her long tenure, she witnessed and actively participated in Rancho Cordova’s evolution to a flourishing city. Budge’s efforts have centered on arts and culture, beautifying the city, improving infrastructure, fostering community by creating distinct, livable neighborhoods, and housing our homeless veterans.

Both Mayor Pulipati and Councilmember Budge share a commitment to addressing crucial issues such as enhancing educational opportunities and fostering economic growth. Their collaborative approach has led to initiatives focused on supporting tuition-free higher education, the city’s first youth center, revitalizing commercial areas and transforming Rancho Cordova into an even more walkable and family-friendly city.

Their influence extends beyond policy decisions. Pulipati and Budge serve as role models, encouraging more women to participate in local government and community service. Their success showcases the importance of diverse perspectives in leadership.

As Rancho Cordova continues its trajectory of growth and development, the combined efforts of Mayor Pulipati and Councilmember Budge highlight the transformative power of women in leadership, guiding their community toward a vibrant and prosperous future.
