Royal Electric has something to celebrate — 50 years of successful business! Over the past five decades, the company has become the leading firm for complex, full-service electric and underground contracting on tight schedules. Public agencies, contractors and developers across the Central and Western U.S. rely on their comprehensive pre-planning process and specialized, experienced team.
“Sacramento has always been our headquarters,” says President and CEO Dina Kimble. “Sacramento projects are special because our team members have the opportunity to build the environment where they and their families live, work and play.” Regionally, Royal has built projects at the Sacramento Airport, Folsom Dam spillway, The Sophia – Home of the B Street Theatre, Sacramento State and UC Davis, local elementary and high schools and more.
To mark their half-century in business, Royal has launched new branding that honors their roots but also showcases their vision of the future. “The crown icon represents Royal’s industry leadership, providing our clients and team members a unique experience and ability to grow and succeed,” Kimble says. “Blue and orange colors represent our team’s trust, loyalty and commitment to safety.”
“Our role as leaders at Royal is to ensure the values and culture of our great company continue well beyond the next 50 years.”

Passionate about inspiring the next generation and connecting youth with construction industry opportunities, Royal volunteers and provides resources for shop classes in local high schools. The company also partners with industry associations and statewide apprenticeship programs to help attract youth to construction industry careers and provides summer and year-long internships for Sacramento State and Chico State engineering and construction management students.
“We will continue our growth through our three pillars of achievement — Building People who are inspired to grow in their careers, Building Relationships that create value for our clients, our company and our community, and Building Projects that we can be proud of,” Kimble says. “Our role as leaders at Royal is to ensure the values and culture of our great company continue well beyond the next 50 years.”
