Power Inn Alliance held its 24th Annual luncheon on March 23 at Harper Alumni Center at Sacramento State. The luncheon featured a keynote address from Bill Gaines, founder of Transfer Flow, Inc. and one of the creators of the North State Grow Manufacturing Initiative and Directory, on the importance of manufacturing in the community and the role of the workforce.

CRKW Studio hosted a kickstarter cocktail party at Vogue Homes in Sacramento to fund the public portion of Kletterwald Heritage Oaks Parks USA on Thursday, April 12. Kletterwald Heritage Oaks Parks is designed to be a Tree Top Adventure Park for climbing, balance and core strength building. The park is expected to open early 2019 in West Sacramento.
Jeremiah Tower: The Last Magnificent Film Screening
On April 9, the famed chef Jeremiah Tower visited Sacramento to kick off the Sacramento Food Film Festival at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento. A crowd of more than 400 arrived early for an exclusive question-and-answer session with Chef Tower, moderated by Amber Stott, founder and CEO of the Food Literacy Center before viewing The Last Magnificent by Anthony Bourdain.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento broke ground on its first ever Veteran Home Build on March 23, on Del Paso Blvd in Sacramento. The project was made possible through a $150,000 sponsorship from Health Net Federal Services and will be built with volunteers, as well as 500 hours contributed by the recipient’s family.

On Friday, March 16, Federalist Public House owners Marvin and Bridgette Maldonado offered a community preview of the newest addition to their portfolio, The Hamilton Room, located at 2009 N Street in Midtown Sacramento. The Hamilton Room’s bar can be booked for private events, dinners, community meetings, lunches and fundraisers.
1849 Foundation 2nd Annual Charity Police Ball
The Sacramento Police Officers Association 1849 Foundation held its 2nd Annual Charity Police Ball on Feb. 10 at the new Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. The evening brought police and community together to raise funds for crisis relief, community scholarships, neighborhood team athletics and construction of a future Sacramento police museum.

RememberAVet.net Evening At Park Winters
RememberAVet.net held its annual Evening at Park Winters on March 3 in Winters, California. The event raised funds for the nonprofit’s annual Wreath Laying Project at the Sacramento National Cemetery. Remember A Vet is committed to laying wreaths on all fallen soldier grave sites at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery each December.
