The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presented the 2022 Latina Estrella Awards on Dec. 9 at Chando’s Cantina in downtown Sacramento. The Rising Estrella Award went to Mariela Medina, civic engagement specialist in the office of Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg. The Inspiration Estrella Award went to Jenny Rodriquez,
economic development and SEED representative for SMUD. The Champion Estrella Award went to the Honorable Mayra Vega, mayor of Woodland. The Legacy Estrella Award went to Angelica Balderas, senior vice president of integrated marketing solutions for Entravision Communications.
