Join Women United of United Way California Capital Region for “Innovate and Ignite,” a fall fundraiser supporting local foster youth initiatives. The event takes place Oct. 8, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at The Cannery Place, 1601 Alhambra Blvd., Suite 200, Sacramento.
Enjoy charcuterie, wine and networking, plus an interactive fireside chat featuring local women leaders Dr. Dawnté Early, president and CEO of United Way California Capital Region; Lora Anguay, CEO and general manager of SMUD; and Mary Daffin, co-owner of The Jacquelyn. Brandi Cummings, KCRA3 anchor and reporter, will emcee.
Tickets are $65. Proceeds support Women United’s efforts to help foster youth succeed in adulthood, including its Collegiate Guaranteed Income Program, which provides financial assistance and support to former foster youth attending Sacramento State and UC Davis.
Since 2002, Women United has raised more than $2 million to support foster youth in the Sacramento region.
