Help your child start the school year with confidence! The first day of school is about more than backpacks and school supplies. It’s about helping your child walk through the classroom door feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. That’s why Single Mom Strong is bringing everything together in one place. Register to receive FREE backpacks and school supplies for your child, and sign up separately for $5 children’s haircuts to help them start the school year looking and feeling their best. (Haircut appointments are limited and require a separate registration.) We’re honored to support single moms as they prepare for another exciting school year.

✏️ Backpack & School Supplies Register to receive one backpack per child (limit three children per family, while supplies last), then join us at the Single Mom Strong Empowerment Center (7525 Auburn Blvd., Suite 5, Citrus Heights, CA 95610) on Sunday, July 26. Each child will have the opportunity to select age-appropriate school supplies, including binders, folders, notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, erasers, scissors, glue, and more. Our volunteers will be there to help distribute supplies, making the process quick, easy, and organized so you can get your family ready for the new school year.

Please Note Single Mom Strong hosts events for single moms and their children. If you are not a single mom, your registration will not be honored. Thank you for respecting and supporting our mission to empower single moms. Backpacks and school supplies must be picked up at this distribution event. If you’re unable to attend, your backpack and supplies will be made available to another family in our community. To participate, your family must be registered to receive Single Mom Strong services. Registration is free and only requires an online form that takes about one minute to complete. A registration email will be sent to all families who sign up for this event. There is no purchase necessary and no obligation to participate in other programs. All children of single mothers are welcome. We love capturing the joy and connection at our events! Please note that photos taken during this event may be used in Single Mom Strong’s promotional materials, social media, website, and other communications. Collaborators and sponsors may also use photos as part of their partnership for this event. Only registrations completed through Eventbrite will be accepted. We know our supporters love to spread the word, and sometimes our events are reposted on other websites. While we appreciate the support, please do not register anywhere other than Eventbrite.
