Ben Avey represents Sacramento Steps Forward, a nonprofit committed to ending homelessness. Sacramento Steps Forward meets its mission as the lead agency for the homeless continuum of care, administrator of the Homeless Management Information System, and as a local leader in training, education and street case management programs. Avey is a nonprofit leader whose career has spanned politics, public policy, healthcare, and now homelessness. A native of Sacramento, Avey lives in Fair Oaks with his wife and four children.
