“As one of the largest providers of environmental and geotechnical engineering services in the U.S., Terracon is the one-stop shop for those services.” — Ryan King, Principal,
Sacramento Office Manager
“As one of the largest providers of environmental and geotechnical engineering services in the U.S., Terracon is the one-stop shop for those services,” says Principal and Sacramento Office Manager Ryan King, P.E. “We consistently rank as a Top 25 design firm by Engineering News Record. With our national footprint, the firm is resilient to regional economic fluctuations, but the Sacramento market has been and continues to be very strong.”
Terracon’s clients include public utilities, K-12 and higher education, government agencies, municipalities and private corporations. “In Sacramento, for example, we do ongoing work for SMUD, projects for several K-12 school districts, several community colleges, state departments such as Caltrans and DGS, as well as private projects such as the first Amazon warehouse at Metro Air Park,” says King. “Our work is part of the fabric of the region.”
King started with the Sacramento office in 2004 and has seen it grow from five to 35 team members. “I look forward to continuing to grow the office, expand our services with new clients and take on more of the larger projects,” he concludes. “I can envision this office with 100 or more employees in the near future. I believe the strong Sacramento market can support Terracon’s growth as Terracon supports Sacramento’s growth as well.”
