The Rising Zone is a unique business concept bringing wellness to the workplace. Founder and Visionary Yvonne Pire, a U.S. Air Force veteran with a successful military and business background, created The Rising Zone as an events and co-working wellness center. “I want to help clients infuse wellness and work together in their business models,” says Pire.
Pire served in the Air Force for six years, including time in Desert Storm as a security police specialist and later cross training into paralegal. After the USAF, she completed her bachelor’s degree and launched her first business, Trofholz Technologies. “Trofholz, a security technology business, is a direct result of my expertise gained in the Air Force,” notes Pire.
Pire grew Trofholz Technologies to $23 million in annual revenue within eight years, and even after selling off over half her contracts in 2016, she built it back to over $14 million. Trofholz keeps Pire connected to the military and veterans, providing services to military bases and VA medical centers across the nation. Local work includes installing the security systems at Folsom Dam, Golden 1 Center and the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel.
Personal upheaval and exhaustion in 2016 prompted Pire to embark on a five-year healing and wellness journey. Her own wellness transformation combined with the workplace turmoil and closures wrought by the pandemic of 2020 helped crystallize her vision for an innovative events and co-working wellness center that opened in March 2023, The Rising Zone in Rocklin.
“I am passionate about bringing wellness into the work environment,” explains Pire. “Too often, they are two separate things and we’re changing that. We’re striving to create a movement of leaders who emphasize the importance of wellness in the workplace for everyone to be healthier and happier.”
Pire wants her young business to become the work wellness movement leader. “To help better the Sacramento region, some of my earliest goals are to become the top events center for wellness events, to build a community of businesses implementing wellness programs into their business models, and to ultimately open new Rising Zone locations throughout the region,” she concludes.
