Placer Title is a longtime industry leader in the Sacramento region, with success built on company culture and the knowledge and experience of its people. In June, two of its most dedicated leaders are stepping into new roles, with Matt Hargon taking over as division president of Sacramento County from Valerie Baldo, who is embarking on a renaissance of her sales career, focusing on strengthening and expanding relationships in the residential, developer/builder and commercial marketplace.
Baldo has been in the industry for 49 years, with Placer Title for 35 years and has been division president for Placer Title’s Sacramento County offices for more than 20 years. For the past 11 years, she has worked side by side with Hargon as her vice president, sharing virtually every aspect of their responsibilities, and now fully passes the baton to him.
“I’m so excited for Matt!” Baldo says. “He’s been with Placer Title for almost 20 years and I’ve been lucky to have him as a fabulous partner in his role as vice president.”
Prior to that, Matt was division president for Placer Title’s Alpine, Amador and Calaveras County operation. Baldo continues, “We had a natural chemistry from the get-go. He’s passionate about the industry, highly regarded in the real estate community and will continue Placer Title’s excellence going forward.”
Baldo will still be an integral resource for the Sacramento operation but is invigorated to work more regionally. “I still have a lot to give and look forward to serving in a different role,” she says.
“I feel this move is a natural fit for me, as I’ve been sharing the responsibilities for many years. We will continue to take great care of each other and our wonderful customers.”—Matt Hargon, Incoming Division President, Sacramento County
Hargon will now oversee Placer Title’s Sacramento operations, which include seven residential branches and one commercial branch. “I truly work with the best people in the business and I am excited to continue to support them and our real estate community,” he says. “We work for a very special company and I have been fortunate to reside in this role for almost 17 years. My commitment remains the same.”
