Since 1983, Morrow Surveying, Inc. has been family-owned and operated, providing high-quality land surveying and mapping services for engineers, architects and building professionals throughout California and western Nevada.
Services include drone and boundary surveying, construction staking, topographic surveys and parcel maps, all utilizing the most advanced techniques to get projects off the ground. High-profile projects include the Township 9 development in the River District and several condos in the downtown Sacramento and Midtown areas. Additionally, Morrow Surveying has been an integral part of the planning process of the State Capitol Annex building, performing boundary and topographic surveys.
CEO Matt Morrow, whose father is company founder Tom Morrow, has expanded the firm’s services into drone and new mapping technologies while still holding to the values, principles and dedication to customer service started by his father.
To be able to carry the torch of a successful business based on the hard work and perseverance of my grandfather and father gives me great pride,” Morrow says.
Morrow says he is excited about the work Morrow Surveying is doing and loves to encourage his team to take pride in their projects. “As a leader, you get better results by giving your team the power to feel empowered to make decisions on their own,” he says.
Morrow says over 80 percent of their clientele are repeat customers, some going back nearly 40 years, who value how attentive and professional Morrow Surveying is.
Looking ahead, Morrow says the team is focused on sustaining these projects and focusing more on renewable energy and infrastructure projects with hopes to inspire the next generation. Morrow encourages students to consider the surveying profession, which is often overlooked for tech or finance employment.
“Over the last 40 years, we have developed an in-depth knowledge of Northern California and the Greater Sacramento area by providing professional surveys on numerous high-profile projects.” — Matt Morrow, CEO
“These services drive the economy and are very important — we lay the foundation for building plans to develop,” Morrow says. Morrow Surveying offers internships and is currently hiring. More information can be found at morrowsurveying.com.
