On July 21, the firm held its 17th annual Community Service Day, for which Gilbert employees chose among six nonprofits in the region and donated their time and effort in person to pursue the organizations’ missions. River City Food Bank, a Gilbert CPAs tax and audit client for four years, was among this year’s chosen nonprofits. Gilbert employees helped stock and set up food distribution stations and assisted with handing out and loading food items for families in need.
“We are deeply committed to our mission of alleviating hunger
by
serving 25,000 people per month in the ongoing fight against
food
insecurity,” says Amanda McCarthy, RCFB executive director.
“We’re
immensely grateful to Gilbert
CPAs for their dedicated professional
support and contribution on Community Service Day.”
In 2022, RCFB served nearly 2.5 million pounds of food to
292,033
people facing hunger from their Midtown and
Arden-Arcade locations with a mission to alleviate hunger in
Sacramento County by providing consistent access to healthy,
meaningful food for all. RCFB helps people avoid a crisis and
work toward self-reliance by providing a short-term food supply
when they are unable to meet basic living expenses.
