Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom is celebrating 35 years of providing high-quality, compassionate health care to Folsom and its surrounding communities. “Mercy Folsom serves as a community hospital while also providing advanced health care services,” says Lisa Hausmann, Mercy Folsom president and CEO. “As the only general acute health care facility in Folsom, we offer a variety of essential medical services.”
Mercy Folsom’s services include a primary stroke center, emergency services, medical-surgical care, a family birth center and a comprehensive range of surgical services, including a surgical robotics program. The hospital currently has 106 beds, 165 medical staff members and approximately 880 employees and each year supports about 8,000 acute admissions, 57,000 outpatient visits and 800 births.
“Mercy Folsom is dedicated to the highest quality care and advanced technology, while also ensuring we provide human kindness at every touchpoint,” says Hausmann. “In our 35 years, we have fostered a strong connection with the community, contributing to a sense of unity and shared history, and remain committed to addressing health care needs with compassion and a holistic approach.”
Mercy Folsom has recently expanded ambulatory services as well as advanced procedural and surgical services and has prioritized updating technology and how care is delivered. “Dignity Health is committed to ensuring access to both primary care and specialty services,” says Hausmann. “In addition to expanding our ambulatory and acute footprint, we focus on preventive health and wellness initiatives to keep the community healthy and reduce the need for hospital admissions.”

Another Dignity Health expansion will be the Folsom Ranch Advanced Ambulatory Care Center (AACC), which will feature specialty services including an outpatient surgery center and lab and will integrate technologies such as telehealth and home monitoring. Set to break ground next spring, Dignity Health will offer a variety of specialists and services accessible to the entire Sacramento region.
“Our goal is to live up to our mission to serve,” concludes Hausmann. “We’re here to make a difference and aim to expand our services, leverage the strengths of our integrated health care network and collaborate with our sister facilities to better meet the unique needs of Folsom and the region.”
