MUN CPAs is celebrating 20 years in business as well as their tremendous success and growth during the past two decades. Founded in 2003 by Chris Mann, John Urrutia and Michelle Nelson, the firm simultaneously opened offices in Sacramento and Roseville that year and have since added Lake Tahoe, Glendale and Kauai offices. The original two offices still serve small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Sacramento region today. Now with 11 partners and more than 60 team members, MUN CPAs has experienced impressive growth across the western region.
“Our tax planning is what sets us apart,” says partner Chris Mann. “We’re not just filling out the boxes doing tax returns, but helping clients strategize year-round for every advantage. Also, there’s no doubt that personal touch differentiates us — clients have our cell phone numbers and can call or text at any time with any concern. Working with small to mediumsized businesses enables us to build strong relationships with those businesses.”
The Roseville office provides tax consulting, planning and preparation as well as accounting services, while the Sacramento office provides audits, reviews, compilations, and other attest engagements for government agencies, nonprofits, employee benefit plans, and for-profit businesses.
“We’ve built an incredible team of skilled professionals and they are the heart of our success,” says Mann, who’s been in the industry for 38 years. “We are always on the lookout for the best people, whether they’re long in experience or fresh out of college, and pride ourselves on being a place where they can build a career.”
“We’re truly blessed to have had the opportunity to support our clients and invest our time and financial resources in this community for the past 20 years.” — Chris Mann, Partner
Looking to the future, MUN CPAs will continue to hire the best talent in the industry and grow organically or take advantage of further acquisition opportunities if it fits with their clientele and company culture.
“We’re truly blessed to have been able to take care of our clients and be engaged with our time and financial resources in this community for the past 20 years and we look forward to the next 20 years,” Mann says.
