Alex Wicks is looking to the future with Bizhaven, revolutionizing the HR and safety services space with a Software as a Service (SaaS) component. When Wicks founded Bizhaven in 2019, it was evident the industry needed a refresh, so she built Bizhaven with the idea of creating a space where people could make an impact at every level.

Now leading the Sacramento region for outsourced HR and safety services — and having expanded into over 40 states — Wicks and her team have made 2022’s focus their newly-launched employee management system. The platform allows employers to best communicate, manage and maximize their workforce, zeroing in on the most important aspects of HR. The system includes employee data, performance management with interactive videos, a robust learning portal and training tracker, custom organizational charts, conversation feeds with time stamps, and a system that fully integrates with payroll and benefits to provide transparent total compensation packages.

“Our mission since we started the company has always been to make HR and safety simple,” Wicks says. “We’ve stayed true to that mission as we’ve continued to evolve the company and while building out the employee management system. We take the same fundamental approach of first analyzing the big picture, then executing on the necessities. Instead of over-tooling or complicating situations, we always keep in mind the importance of convenience, which shines through in our new system like it has with our service.” 

Looking back on the last three years, Wicks is proud of what her team has accomplished and is excited for what’s to come as they enter the SaaS space. In the past year, Wicks was part of Sacramento’s Class of 2021 40 under 40, Bizhaven was recognized as one of Sacramento’s Best Places to Work in 2021, and most recently, Bizhaven was listed as one of Sacramento’s Fastest Growing Companies of 2022. She believes they’ve only just scratched the surface and attributes Bizhaven’s success to her hardworking team.
