Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, JM Environmental, Inc. is a longtime leader in the hazardous materials abatement and demolition industry. John Moore founded the company in 1994 as a one-man operation with a truck, a hammer and a bucket, advertising in the PennySaver, and over the past three decades has grown it into the successful and renowned business it is today.
JM Environmental specializes in asbestos abatement, lead removal, demolition, mold remediation, bio-hazard remediation, virus decontamination and fire debris removal and cleanup. Highly trained and well-equipped teams meet or exceed the compliance requirements of OSHA, OSHPD, EPA and air quality regulatory agencies on every project.
“We’ve grown tremendously in our 30 years,” says Christian Raney, business development manager. “We still operate from Roseville but now have more than 60 team members, licenses in California and Nevada, and serve from the Oregon border down to the Fresno area and into Northern Nevada.”
“Going forward, we’ll continue our core work excellence and focus on new ways to engage with our communities, including philanthropic efforts and raising awareness and education about hazardous materials to help everyone live safer, healthier lives.”— Christian Raney, Business Development Manager
By partnering with general contractors and insurance companies, the firm has played a critical role in small to major reconstruction and historical preservation projects that shape our communities. Raney notes, “We’ve tackled some of our region’s most iconic work, including demolition and abatement for the Ice Blocks parcel in downtown Sacramento, demolition and abatement of the Lakeside Inn at Lake Tahoe to clear the way for a new health care facility, and vast fire debris removal and cleanup from the record-breaking 2018 wildfire that devastated the town of Paradise.”
Raney concludes, “Going forward, we’ll continue our core work excellence and focus on new ways to engage with our communities, including philanthropic efforts and raising awareness and education about hazardous materials to help everyone live safer, healthier lives.”
