Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend a sneak peek pre-opening event of the new Localis Restaurant, which will take the place of Trick Pony. The restaurant emphasizes farm-to-fork, locally sourced items. Appetizers and entrees included “Duck Duck” — duck breast medallions, fennel and a plum reduction — octopus with sweet peppers, and Chef Chris Barnum’s interpretation of “steak and potatoes.” Each course was paired with wine selections. The team of Chris Jarosz and Matt Chong are also behind Broderick Roadhouse, the Wicked ‘Wich food trucks and Capital Dime.
Localis opens for reservations on Thursday. More information is available on their website. Check them out!
