The American Institute of Architects, Central Valley Chapter (AIACV) kicked off the third Architecture Festival on October 10 at SMUD headquarters.
The event featured the first CANSTRUCTION build. This international charity competition brought together the region’s architects, engineers, contractors and students together to design and build structures made entirely from full cans of food. At the end of the competition, all of the food (over 22,000 cans) were donated to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. The event also featured photos of the Architectura Obscura Photography exhibit and presentation.
