Trainor's wife Paulette, who owns an interior design business, served as both designer and art consultant for the company. Trainor says Paulette calls the mix of styles, "a good combination of art and atmosphere for a professional space." An 18th century Japanese monk's chair sits in a hallway alcove created especially for its display. There are 245 pieces of art displayed in the offices of communications firm Runyon, Saltzman & Einhorn Inc., most of which come from the private collections of Estelle Saltzman and the late Jean Runyon. “Hermano” is the work of Sonoma County artist Carol Setterland. The firm’s office manager Cathy Grewing calls the wood sculpture a “friendly, warm mentor in a sometimes-frenetic environment.”

With an affinity for local artists, the firm's owners seek to support their community by exposing the agency's clients, employees and vendors to local talent. This metal sculpture entitled “Rising Moon” was created by local resident and foundry owner Alan Osborn. The piece was willed to the Crocker Art Museum’s permanent collection following the passing of Jean Runyon in 2009.

Mark Friedman’s vast collection of modern art is on display at Fulcrum, his full-spectrum real estate development and investment firm on Sacramento’s J Street. The loft-style offices are filled with various pieces of art, including mixed-media, sculptures and paintings. The art is often relocated within the office to provide different vantage points. This unnamed work in Fulcrum’s conference room was sculpted by Sacramento artist and teacher Yoshio Taylor.

Friedman developed an affinity for fine art from his mother Marcy, an artist. Artist Michael Stevens created “Uncle Wiggly’s Paradox,” stacked carvings of a dog, a woodpecker, books, fish, suitcases and Uncle Wiggly (not shown), from the trunk of a paradox elm cut down for a Fulcrum project in West Sacramento.

UC Davis graduate and modernist sculptor Robert Brady created this black and white vase, which is located in Fulcrum’s lobby. Brady teaches art at Sacramento State, and his collections can be seen at the Crocker Art Museum, the Lost Angeles County Museum of Art, the Oakland Museum of California and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, among others.
