Mission

To assist talented writers, with diverse cultural perspectives, to achieve their goals in the genres they pursue. Through the interplay of talented participants, professionals, established writers in a community atmosphere, fiction writers are assisted in their arduous journey from writer to author, poets to achieve a resonant framework for their collected words, and screenwriters to see their work realized in film. In addition, the Community of Writers serves the West— California, Nevada, and the Tahoe‐Truckee region area in particular—as an active literary and media arts center, providing access to readings, talks and films by the nation’s most prominent writers.
